OMF On-Site Management underwent a seminar on December 2008. After the seminar, members of OMF On-site were inducted by none other than the mayor of Oas, the HON. Greg Ricarte. At this event, the mayor "promised" that he will work with the Sanguniang Bayan/council to approve a P500,000 package for use by OMF.

The seminar was followed by a little salo-salo compliments of Chad Que, Louella Lapsley and Mel Romano.

At the foreground is Fr. Barquez, Tess Pesino. Tillie Orendain and Nina Menguito. On the second row, partly covered is Nellie Ragos, Tess Rayala, Helen Rian, Alice Rayco and Socoro Ragos Camonay.

From right to left are: Nina Menguito, Tillie Orendain, Tess Pesino; on second row: Socoro "Jean" Camonay, Alice Rayco, Helen Rian, Tess Rayala and Nellie Ragos.

On the last row are our resource speakers from Alternative Systems for Community Development (ASCODE):Mr. Simeon Moral, the Admin & Finance Officer; Mr. Jose Romero, the Executive Director; and Ms. Stephanie Reyes-Betes, the Program Officer.

Onsite Representative Mel Romano delivers the introductory preview of  OMF, its objectives, and its prime movers.

The seminar resource speaker, Mr. Jose Romero, the executive director of ASCODE, delivers his seminar topics. ASCODE or Alternative Systems for Community Development is a development practitioner in Albay Province specializing on microfinance.
The seminar was held at the Oas Parish Social Hall las December 13, 2008. Onsite management recognizes the seminar funding support provided by the generous Oasnons: Louella Lapsley of Virginia,USA, and Richard Que of Saudi Arabia.

After Mayor Greg Ricarte delivered his encouraging words and promised the LGU's unrelenting support to the objectives of OMF and its volunteers, Mel Romano in return thanked him and expressed OMF's support and cooperation to his leadership.

Mayor Ricarte promised to donate P500,000 to OMF his social funds for micro finance this YR2009.

Witnessing at the guest table are Kgwd. Manuel O. Warde,Jr.(seated) and Exec. Sec. Buddy Bustamante(standing).

The seminar participants took the entire day to learn best practices in microfinance, savings campaign, as well as OMF objectives. It was tiring, but a day well spent for these management volunteers to help Oas.
