Oas Micro Finance (OMF) was not born instantly.

It evolved from so many premises. In fact OMF went through an evolution; and still undergoing a series of evolution. Although born out of an idea from Mohammed Yunus of Bangladesh, the parameters of OMF hopes to adapt principles native to Oas and Oasnons.

Although this aspiration came from a few core of Oasnons, this endeavour needs as many Oasnons' as can be. From New York's Francine Bustamante-Chamorro's computer to the churring Biep Romano's laptop in Canada; from Greg Conde's hotwired cell-phones to Mel Romano's Yahoo Messenger chatting - we, the OMF Core tried to compose a working platform. What about Louella Lapsley's lightning-speed emails to Chad Que's messages from Saudi Arabia; Ben Ricasio's commentaries to Ernie Beda Tena's advice - all these worked together to form OMF.

OMF was born in all four corners of the world. Japan's Puring Rebanal Miyamoto cuddled OMF in her arms; Nandy Perillo, while in Afghanistan, guarded the early ideals of OMF; Achilles Rances nurtured the early birth of OMF. Jun Rex and myself laid down the platform where OMF can reside, continue living - for now and the generations to come. These names will just be names, but Oas Micro Finance (OMF) - lives on...but only when other Oasnons extend their much needed involvement.

The way of a Oasnon is also the way of OMF, and the way of Lao-Tzu: "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step".
